PM Thanks Provincial Governors for Coordinating Bac II Exam

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has thanked provincial governors for successfully facilitating the 2022 high school baccalaureate exams.

"I would like to thank you, because during the exam period, I saw some provinces declare free accommodation for students, or with lowered rent, each of these province showed that they were taking responsibility [for the smooth running of the exams] which was good," said the Prime Minister. "It is great that the Ministry of Education or the provincial Departments of Education are not left alone to do this work, meaning that everyone is working together [toward the goal of] developing the national education system."

The Prime Minister also praised local authorities, the Royal Government working group and the working group of the local party for providing encouragement and awards to A-level students at the local level.

Speaking during the meeting to award 1,049 A-level students from the 2021-2022 academic year, on Thursday morning, 2 February 2023, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that students who were born in the current time are very lucky, as Cambodia now has complete peace compared to the young people who grew up during the country's war-torn times.
